foundation for storing and managing message routing
information, user profiles and access privileges.

Directory
Server features include:
Superior reliability and performance to handle the
demands of enterprise deployments
Extensible schema supports a wide variety of user
information
LDAPv3-compliant and works seamlessly with Mirapoint
appliances and other applications
Accelerated deployment of directory-based services

Features
and Benefits
Performance and Scalability
The Directory Server delivers high performance and
can scale to handle large, global deployments, including
multiple LDAP databases individually configured to
respond to a particular suffix or domain. Indexing
based on directory attributes enhances performance
in distributed environments.
Unified
Messaging
The Directory Server provides unified administration
for functions such as import/export, schema extensions,
indexing, configuration, and dynamic specification
of data and protocol management and monitoring. Logging
and reporting of operational, protocol and performance-related
data is enabled through Mirapoint log files and Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps.
Reliability
and Security
The Directory Server is built on a locked down hardened
operating system with no known exploits. SSL and TLS
protocols are supported for additional mail server
protection and the administration interface is secured
over an SSH connection. The Directory Server also
has field proven 99.999% uptime.
LDAP
Interoperability
The Directory Server is LDAPv3-compliant and works
seamlessly with standards-based protocols including
other Mirapoint appliances. It also supports directory
chaining and referrals, and can both import and export
LDAP Data Interchange Format (LDIF) files.
